Motels and shower on the sunshine coast with Tahlia

This isn’t my first time working with Tahlia—our last collaboration in 2022 resulted in an incredible gallery that you can check out here. Since then, we’ve been trying to align schedules for another shoot, and although my last two trips didn’t pan out, it was great to reconnect with her for this session.

The original plan was to shoot outdoors, but the wind and rain had other ideas. After capturing a few rolls outside, we decided to head back to my motel to regroup. Instead of calling it quits, we embraced the change of setting, and I’m glad we did. The space had a lot of character and lent itself to the kind of storytelling I always aim to capture, even when working indoors.

In the first carousel, Tahlia wears a vibrant pink bikini provided by Color Swimwear, while the second features a striking blue set from Horse & Berries. All images are shot on film, completely unedited, preserving their natural, raw beauty.

It’s always a pleasure working with Tahlia—her ease in front of the camera and ability to adapt to any setting make her a standout. If you’d like to book Tahlia for your own project, you can reach her directly through her Instagram here. I’m excited to share these images and the story they tell, despite the unexpected twists in our day.

If you’d like to book myself you can here, or if you enjoy viewing my work, you can shout me a coffee or a few rolls of film here.
