Hannah & Joao at Burleigh Heads

This shoot was one of my favourites from the trip; I hadn't done a well paired shoot for a while. They're always a challenge because you need to find the right dynamic and communication style to create something that feels like a timeless moment rather than something improvised and built on a second's notice.

At 3:30 AM, I got up and drove from Byron to Burleigh to meet Joao and Hannah at the beach. You'd never guess, but these two had never met before that morning. I wanted something that felt like two best friends hanging out; with some help from caffeine and a few props, we made some magic that morning.
