The Reboot

For some years, I ran this blog to improve, talk to other creatives, and collaborate and figure out things for myself. I've grown a lot, my work has changed, and I am not the same photographer I was when I first started this.

Covid hadn't happened; my commercial work had not started to roll in the way it has, and I hadn't started teaching photography properly.

I have always been fascinated with the image-making industry, well obsessed, let's be frank about that. So we're back here after closing this for a year.

After a drawn-out period focusing on improving my technique for natural light, I am back here. I spent my early career mostly indoors, in rooms where I decided how the light looked before taking a photo. I have loved the last twelve months of natural lighting, there is definitely an element of luck. Still, I have been fighting against an accompanying perfect photo by repeating the result over-and-over.
