Megumi Mckenna at Little Bay

I had an incredible time shooting with Megumi McKenna from Vivien’s Models back in May — and I’m so glad to finally have this one online. Megumi is currently based overseas, so this shoot feels even more special in hindsight.

We shot at one of my favourite locations, Little Bay, just as the tide had left behind layers of seashells across the sand. We started casual in jeans before switching into a brown bikini, followed by a blue one from Fae Swim. And yes — there were pears involved. Megumi had them in hand between looks, and they somehow made it into the vibe of the whole set.

The light did something wild that afternoon. Usually I wrap when the sun dips — but this time, the sky went full theatre: clouds, colours, and a full moon over the water. It was cinematic, soft, and a little surreal. Everything I love about shooting at this time of day.

Shot entirely on 35mm film, with no retouching. Cameras used: Canon EOS 3, and film stocks included Kodak Portra 160, Portra 400, Kodak Gold, Cinestill 400D, and Ilford XP2.

Support, Bookings & Extras

If you’d like to work with Megumi, reach out through Vivien’s Models. She’s a true natural and made this entire day effortless — I’m proud of what we created together.

Thanks for scrolling all the way through — if this shoot resonated with you and you’d like to support more work like it, you can book me for a shoot, buy an issue of my digital magazine ONLINE, or shout me a roll of film to help keep these projects going. Every bit of support helps me stay behind the camera, continue working with incredible talent, and bring more of this kind of honest, film-based storytelling to life.
