Golden Light & Moonlit Waves: An Afternoon with Mary Adrans at Norah Head

Some shoots take years to come together. This one? Six. Mary Adrans first reached out to me over six years ago during a casting call, and we’ve kept in touch ever since. Finally, we made it happen.

We met at Norah Head Lighthouse, a spot that never disappoints, and took our time letting the light shift around us. We floated on a pink swan, wandered through rock pools, and watched the full moon rise over the ocean—one of those perfect days where everything just clicks.

Mary wore some incredible pieces throughout the shoot:

Shot entirely on 35mm film, using my Canon EOS 3 with a 24-70mm L II F/2.8 and 70-200mm F/2.8 USM L IS IIlens, these images capture everything I love about shooting on film—the natural, unfiltered beauty of the moment. If you’re curious about my gear, you can check it out here.

This gallery was a joy to create, and I’m excited to finally share it. If you love my work, you can support it by picking up a zine here or donating here.

Scroll down, soak it in, and let me know what you think.
