Hunters Bay with Ruby Jennings

This little gallery with Ruby Jennings from Facon Models at Hunter Bay, aka. the Northern End of Balmoral Beach in Mosman, tells a bit more of a story and I thought it was worth a few extra words and photos.

I love being there from the start with new talent, and when Michelle Lob recommended working with Ruby on a drive up north last year in July, I said yes!

Shoots like this are often quite labor intensive; helping someone figure out how to move and feel comfortable in front of the camera is a skill in itself, but I didn’t have to do much; Ruby’s movement blew me away as she picked things up so quickly. I planned to publish this shoot, but with Ruby wanting to change up her look, I sat on my hands, so now I give you a quick look at some of my favorite photos from a beautiful afternoon at Caves Beach near Lake Macquarie.

Michelle, who scouted and manages Ruby, agreed that Ruby needed a hair change to sharpen her look, and I knew the right Hair Stylist for the job. I reached out to Lachlan Pegler, who is at EdwardsAndCo on Crown Street and has styled more than a fair few of the models I work with. The change for Ruby was stunning and strengthened her look, as you’ll agree from these shots!
