Sunset with Gracie Smith at Voodoo Point

I’m thrilled to finally share this gallery featuring the incredible Gracie Smith, shot at one of my favourite locations—Voodoo Point, just above Cronulla. Being Sydney-based, I’m constantly looking for ways to get inspired. Voodoo Point's clear waters, unique textures, and tiny shells make this spot so unique. This was one of my final shoots of the year, and it’s a perfect example of what I love to create—natural, unretouched moments captured on film.

Gracie, who is signed with Chic Management Brisbane and based in Sydney, is a joy to work with. Her blonde curly hair, striking eyebrows, and strong jawline are features that translate beautifully on camera. She moves effortlessly in front of the lens, and this session perfectly showcases her talent.

We started the shoot with a beach chair provided to me by Sunnylife for a relaxed, summery vibe. Gracie wore a bikini from Bamba Swim, snacking on an apple and some grapes for a carefree feel. For the second look, we floated around the shallows on an inflatable perfume bottle from Sunnylife, with Gracie in a vibrant yellow bikini from Princess Polly. As the light softened into golden hour, we transitioned into a leopard-print look and an elegant dress from Gracie’s wardrobe.

Every shot was captured on film using my trusty Canon EOS 3 and primarily the 24-70mm L II F/2.8 lens, which has been my go-to for years. These images are entirely unretouched, highlighting the authenticity and natural beauty of the environment and Gracie’s effortless presence. You can check out and purchase the film stocks I use from Georges Cameras.

How to support My Work

I work exclusively with film —a medium that adds depth, texture, and timelessness to every shot. If you love what I do, here’s how you can support me:

  • Shout me a few rolls of film to help keep the creativity flowing: Support Here.

  • Grab a copy of my Zine, which showcases more of my work.

  • Or by booking me, which you can do here.

Voodoo Point always delivers breathtaking backdrops, and this shoot with Gracie encapsulates everything I love about shooting in Sydney— Check out the full gallery, and let me know what you think!
