Chasing coastlines with Madyson Thomas from Viviens

On an overly warm winters day, I headed north to Terrigal. I’d shot with Madyson Thomas from Vivien’s Models over five years ago when both she and I were quite new. While I’d worked in music and taken many press photos of artists, I had never felt like my work with models felt quite lived in, so that year, I focused on creating a better body of work. Fast forward five years, and I drove an hour north for a change of scenery with the clouds playing a game of hide and seek with the sun. Despite a long, cloudy interlude, patience rewarded us with a perfect sunset. With the long break we’d taken, I pulled out a little light at last light, and Mady bared the cold with me to create something dreamlike at dusk.

Among the standout pieces Madyson wore were the striped swimwear piece courtesy of Horse and Berries and a vibrant purple bikini from Triangl Swim. The remaining stylish selections were from Madyson’s wardrobe .

A lot has changed in fives, and it was truly lovely to capture something magic
