Cloudy Byron sunsets with Luzmila Terrades

For this editorial gallery piece, I teamed up with model Luzmila Terrades in the scenic setting of Byron Bay, capturing the beauty of an overcast sunset on film. We began at the renowned Cape Byron walking track and later moved to the secluded Little Wategos Beach, where the dramatic skies provided a perfect backdrop. Luce showcased a variety of looks, including a blue swimwear set and a brown striped set from Horse & Berries, with additional pieces from her wardrobe.

Despite windy, cloudy conditions, soft breaks in the clouds allowed for a few golden highlights, bringing a unique light to each shot. This was my second time working with Luce, and I’m thrilled with the results from this natural light, film-based session. Shot entirely on film with a Canon EOS 5 and the Canon 24-70mm lens, these images are unedited and showcase our talent and environment's simple, raw beauty. I am blessed to get these opportunities to create.
